About

Ray Collins

Born and raised in the heart of downtown Manhattan, with a Father who’s an artist and craftsman, I have constantly been inspired by this sense of art around me. My train of thinking has always been drawn from a creative, diverse, and visual sense of perspective. Which has grown towards my love for the world of fashion and has since been a life pursuit.

I hold a Bachelors Degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology in Advertising and Marketing Communications. I knew from at a young age (and my first retail job), that working in the fashion industry also requires a sense of being business savvy.

Throughout college, I maintained school, internships, and a retail sales’ job at Michael Kors throughout all 4 years. That’s the other thing about working. You have to hustle. It’s a quality that I appreciate in myself and even more in others.

Outside from office work, I continue my hobby with photography both commercially and personally. I have done content partnerships for watch brands (Fossil, Timex), graphic design for DKNY’s private-label tshirt business, and have been commissioned to produce content work / food photography within the New York City coffee community.

Fun fact: I am also a coffee connoisseur training/developing my skills professionally from tasting, brewing, to latté art.

Currently, I am seeking new full-time opportunities to expand my experience in the e-commerce world as I have gone freelance the past year to prioritize wellness and family. My previous e-commerce experience equates to over 4 years working with brands Harper’s BAZAAR, Ulla Johnson, Oscar de la Renta, and Alexander Wang. With freelance work for USA-made company STATELINE. I also have managerial experience and have trained over 10 interns, while onboarding new employees to take over my previous roles.
