JOB ROLE: E-COMMERCE COORDINATOR As my first full-time corporate role post-grad, I was entering the world of a rapidly growing small business. Wearing many hats at once and understanding every department within the business in full-circle. Something that I find incredibly valuable and have continued to practice at my other jobs post-UJ.

At the helm is the namesake designer herself, a woman who is inspiring through her sense of design and business.

As E-Commerce Coordinator, I was in charge of managing the websites backend operations under the supervision of my E-Commerce Manager. This included (1) order management and constant communication with the warehouse. Ensuring that the workflow of picking, packing, and delivering were all flowing in a seamless rhythm using internal and 3rd party systems (returns/RMA’s/inventory were also to be managed by me as well). (2) Managing all customer service inquiries via email and phone. (3) Catalog creations and merchandising the website in accordance to the E-Commerce Manager + Merchandiser.

Every collection produced by Ulla and her design team holds a labor of love. Literally. Conceived by fine details and fabrics each individually thought out precisely for a unique sense of movement and flow the moment you wear any of these garments.

With that said, each collection is carefully curated to present a story. With the theme of flow and color, transitioning the e-commerce buy and presenting it online must hold these values.

BRIDGING RETAIL + UJ.COM

In the midst of integrations amongst a rapidly growing business, bringing UJ to the forefront of providing a modern E-Commerce website was essential for her large community + customer base.

Being in charge of customer service and in constant communication between retail , I understood that the UJ customer was strongly influenced by the namesake designer’s aesthetic for fashion, color and detail. So I thought, how can Ulla’s influence further impact their digital experience? My answer was the ever-inspiring Bleecker Street Boutique.

The store’s visual impact is a reflection of the brand’s identity and Ulla herself. By providing a homepage hero dedicated to UJ Bleecker, visitors will discover a full-service landing page. For further details, you’ll have to chat with me directly (I can’t spill all my ideas at once of course).
